SCHOOL'S OUT!

Oh yeah! Woo-hoo! Tomorrow's the last day of school! I am so excited! My class gets to go to Lincoln Park in the morning and stay there the whole day. We get to grill
hot dogs and hamburgers and play kickball! It is going to be awesome!

Tomorrow is also going to be a sad day. My teacher, Miss Sullivan, is a resident teacher and will not be teaching at Phoenix next year. This is extremely sad because Miss S. has been one of the BEST teachers I have had in my life. I know why she is so great, because my mom was one of her teachers in college. So I can say that my awesome mom taught my awesome teacher how to be awesome! And, Miss S. if you're reading this, prepare to get bombarded by hugs tomorrow because I am going to miss you a ton. And just so you know, the last time I had a resident teacher it was in second grade and on the last day of school I cried because I was so sad. So don't be suprised if I do tomorrow.

Another great reason why I'm glad school is out is because my birthday is in the summer. The second day to be exact. It's June 22nd. Since my birthday is coming up I have a big decision ahead of me. Do I want to have a big birthday party and invite all my friends or do I want to have a small one and invite one of my friends to sleep over? Whatever my decision is I am sure I will post it closer to my birthday. I think I will have a big party with a pinata since I had a friend sleepover last year.

I played cards a lot of times.
I played cards with my dad and mom and my sister Sophie.
We played Kings in the Corner
and Go Fish,

War.

When I first held a fish
I thought it was gross

because of the gills.
They were sticking out

and you could see
red stuff.
And it was slimy
and it was big.
It was about as big as two of my mom's feet.

Pirates Win It All

I played hockey and I caught the puck. I got a point for every block I made and I blocked the most of the shots that Carmyn did. I was number 14. I played for the Sedona Pirates as the goalie and we won!

Can you tell what team I'm playing on? And do you know it's the Sedona Pirates? Could you tell that, huh? huh? I'm playing hockey beside the van.

I was # 14 on the Ship's Pirates team.

I made a basket. I made more than one basket. I made tons and tons with my own basketball and I even dribbled it and it twisted right off. My team color was blue and I was playing for the Ship Pirates.

I was playing baseball for the Pittsburgh Pirates. I won this game too.

And we also played football and I won that game too.

Monkey Bar Mania

I went on the monkey bars at University Park. I went on them 18 times.

Splash Park Fun

So, I went through the rainbow at University Park and it was spraying out water on me.

I went through the castle that sprayed out water and the poles that were blue and I got sprayed. I went through the castle 14 times.

I went under the buckets and I ran away and when I went back under them they dumped 16 buckets of water on me.

Horseback Riding

Over the weekend, my mom had to go to an art auction because she was in charge of it. Since our dad was in Ireland and Mom had the auction, it was arranged for us kids, Sophie, Lucy, and John, to stay with our cousins in Horace for the weekend. When we were in Horace we got to go horseback riding. I got to ride Hada with one of my cousins leading her and then I got to ride Penny by myself and then ride Hada by myself. It was a lot of fun.

Lucy and John also got to ride horses but not by themselves yet. I was the only person in my family that rode a horse by myself on Sunday. Actually, Lucy tried to ride Penny by herself but wasn't strong enough and she couldn't control her. My cousins, Jessie, Evie, and Betsy were the only other kids that rode besides two other bigger-than-me cousins that rode after we went inside. John and Jessie even rode together on a horse.(I can't remember if it was Hada or Penny.) As I said before it was a lot of fun, even for the little kids!

Flower Play Time

It's flower playtime in this house. The flowers are daisy chrysanthemums but Mom thought they were just daisies. We have other flowers in this house - like carnations and daffodills. The carnations are from the Daddy/Daughter dance or it's called A Knight for a Princess. Both Sophie and I got one. The Daddy Daughter dance was when we danced with Daddy.

Easter

Lucy, John and I are very excited about Easter! That’s why we can’t wait till Saturday! On Saturday we are going to fill our Easter baskets with eggs and set them where the Easter bunny can find and fill them for us. I am excited because my mom and I are going to make apple pies for Sunday! On Sunday we are going to our aunt Mary’s and all are the relatives we know from our dad’s side of the family. (Except our grandparents who are in Arizona.) I think there will be an egg hunt for there was one last year. We have bunny ears we will probably wear in the car on the way there. I can’t wait till it is Saturday and we let the Easter bunny do his stuff!

A New Clean Room

I did it! I actually cleaned my room. I can't believe I actually did it! I wanted to write on our blog so I thought if I cleaned my room I would have something to write about, and I did. I can't believe my room went from a real mess to a nice clean room. I am not sure how long it will last though. I am going to try and make it last longer than last time. Which was only about 5 days. It's wonderful having a nice clean room, but then again I still do prefer mess better than clean.

Now you may think my room is the messiest room you have ever seen, but I think it's nice and cozy. Yesserie! Messie rooms are my speciality! My parents don't like it though. They think a clean home is a happy home. For me, it's the other way around. A clean home is hazeredous! You can't find a thing! At least I can't! Well, I guess I will have to clean my messy room sooner or later today. My mom said a cleaning lady is coming and I will have to clean my room for her. I don't want to of course, but I guess I will have to or else my mom will have a fit!
